- Betsy Chutchian developed a love for antique quilts and 1800's reproduction fabrics growing up in Texas. She designed Maria's Sky for Moda Fabrics. Her inspiration for the collection was Maria Mitchell an activist, suffragette, professor of math and science born in 1818 who later discovered a comet which was named after her. You will find a color scheme in these prints of rich and historical browns, creams, blues and brick red.
