• Creativity is Limitless

Sometimes you come across a quilt that you just have to share. This one came to us from a very good customer who happened to use my favorite ever combination in our quilt kits, French General. These colors just make me happy, and the prints from Moda are both classic and unforgettable. What really struck me about this quilt is the quilter's vision. One of the best features our kits (so I hear) is how easy they are to use. The combination and pattern is already picked out, and all you have to do is the fun part - sew it up! But this quilter took it to the next level. Using our pre-cut pieces, she added a touch of her own creativity, and made a 3-D quilt. Pictured below, this beautiful quilt is made using log cabin blocks that have been modified by adding triangles to the end of some of the strips. Just look at the effect this step adds. Outstanding!

Quilters never cease to amaze me. To me, the most magical thing about quilting and sewing is that there is just no limit to creativity, and there is always another twist to be added. Thank you, Caroline Eschenbrenner, for sharing your beautifully designed quilt! Happy sewing, everyone!

Wow. There is a reason that Amy Butler is such a well known name in the quilting world. Her 'Bright Heart" quilt is just lovely. I particularly love the contrast between the bright and crazy designs/colors on the hearts and the plain white background fabric. You can download the instructions for this quilt by following this link: http://www.makeitcoats.com/en-us/discover/sewing-quilting/patterns-designs/bright-heart-cotton-quilt
What does this quilt inspire you to do? How cool does the quilt look hanging behind the bed as a headboard?! You could do two coordinating quilts, have one on your bed and one hanging behind as a "headboard quilt." Or simply a wall hanging quilt that ties the whole room together. and brightens your day. The possibilities are just endless! Happy sewing!
  • A Note for Quilters

    Hello Quilters!

Being the daughter of business owners in the quilting and sewing industry, I have grown up meeting quilters from around the world and let me tell you, you are the best people on the planet. Creative, patient, and inspiring! Artists who spend their free time creating beautiful quilts, baby bags, purses, and countless others for their families, friends, and neighbors. There is just nothing sweeter than that! A big part of why we love what we do at Jordan Fabrics is because we get the chance to interact with our wonderful customers everyday who appreciate this craft as much as we do.

Our enjoyment of our customers is another reason that we decided to open a quilt shop in Grants Pass, Oregon. We now get to meet new quilters daily and learn about their current sewing endeavors, hear new ideas, and gain some inspiration for our own creativity.

So thank you for being the best customers in the world! We appreciate you!
